How You Can Help

Project HeartBeat is an effort started by the Greenville Fire / Rescue Department in cooperation with the Pitt County Medical Society, ECU / Brody School of Medicine Division of Emergency Medical Services, and the American Heart Association to supply AEDs and training to as many locations in the Greenville and Pitt County Area as Possible.

Please join our team! Your group, business, organization or school can easily establish an AED program, which is accessible, affordable and saves lives! Here is how our team members can help:

THE GREENVILLE FIRE / RESCUE DEPARTMENT
Documentation and data collection ~ Ongoing program maintenance ~ Site selection / protocol review ~ AED program registry and recognition.

THE PITT COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY
Coordination of equipment / training purchases ~ Support for fundraising and publicity.

ECU / BRODY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE DIVISION OF EMS
Training support for users ~ Educational support for community ~ Medical consultation.

AMERICAN HEART ASSOCIATION
CPR and AED training ~ Public Education on need for AEDs.

OTHER PARTICIPANTS
Active support and communication of Project HeartBeat goals.
